I think you are refering to a younger guy that came down and wanted to buy a car from me with no motor and transmission and then wanted us to sell him and install a motor and 5sp transmission into the auto body. Well he didn't have enough money to buy the parts needed to do it right and he wanted it done in a matter of days and we were already backed up a few weeks on service. We pulled it off a couple days late, but it wasn't the most solid car. We sold him an automatic car with no motor and trans, a used motor and 5 sp trans, and installed and converted everything over, and we had to stay under $4,000. It was an impossible task to make a very good car for that. But we told hime he would have to just keep coming back to fix the things that he couldn't afford to do the first time around.
